Our Story
Building a foundation for lasting recovery since our founding in Los Angeles.
KAH Helpline was founded with a clear purpose: to create a treatment center where individuals struggling with addiction could find genuine, compassionate care. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, California, our facility was built on the belief that every person deserves access to high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
Our founders recognized a gap in the treatment landscape. Too many facilities focused only on short-term detox without addressing the deeper roots of addiction. KAH Helpline was designed from the ground up to offer a full continuum of care, from medical detox through aftercare, all under one roof at our campus on Western Avenue.
Today, our treatment center serves individuals and families from across California and beyond. We remain committed to the same mission that inspired our founding: providing personalized, research-driven treatment in a warm, supportive environment.

Our Approach to Treatment
Evidence-based modalities combined with holistic therapies for comprehensive, individualized care at our facility.
At KAH Helpline, we understand that addiction affects every person differently. That is why our on-site clinical team develops individualized treatment plans using a combination of proven therapeutic modalities. Every plan is tailored to address each person's unique needs, history, and goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns that contribute to substance misuse. Our therapists guide residents through structured sessions in our therapy offices.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT teaches mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance skills. This modality is particularly effective for individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions.
Group Therapy
Group sessions at our campus foster connection and mutual support. Residents learn from shared experiences while building the interpersonal skills vital to lasting recovery.
Individual Counseling
One-on-one sessions with licensed counselors at our facility allow residents to explore personal challenges, process trauma, and develop coping strategies in a private setting.
Family Therapy
Addiction impacts the entire family. Our family therapy program helps repair relationships, rebuild trust, and equip loved ones with tools to support long-term recovery.
12-Step Facilitation
Our team integrates 12-step principles into treatment, connecting residents with peer support networks that extend well beyond their time at our treatment center.
Holistic Therapies
Yoga, meditation, art therapy, and fitness programming complement clinical treatment. These activities take place in our yoga studio, meditation garden, and art therapy room.
Continuum of Care
Our treatment center provides a seamless continuum of care, guiding individuals through every stage of recovery. From medically supervised detox (3-7 days) to residential treatment (30-90 days), partial hospitalization (2-4 weeks), intensive outpatient (8-12 weeks), standard outpatient, and aftercare planning, each level of care builds on the last.
